Mulberry Small Bayswater Satchel Vintage Ledbury in Oak Kenya Leather

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Ledbury in Oak Kenya Leather with Antiqued Golden Brass Hardware.

A beautiful, blast from the past, this vintage delight is the precursor to the classic Small Bayswater Satchel.

Designed without shoulder straps, (no D rings either) it's crafted from a gloriously characterful oak printed, natural vegetable tanned leather.

No cloche, no internal belt, just a neat, stitched gusset, (so you wear them in or out for the more trapezoid silhouette,) there's plenty of room inside for all the everyday basics and more.

Four little feet to the base and lined in dark chocolate Mulberry Tree jacquard cotton with leather trimmed slip pocket....... it's simple but oh so stylish.

Growing even lovelier with age, use and care, it's a Mulberry that will go on and on and on and will bring you compliments, wherever you go.

  Condition - Well Used

Details-

The leather is stunning. A fabulously spaced Kenya print, the hide has with oodles of colour depth and a fabulous patina. Lots of burnishing, surface scuffs and a little dryness around the corner curves....however there's very little actual 'wear'.

Well shaped and upright, (all photos taken when empty,) the hide is thick, with the perfect amoung of give, all stitching is tight and the front Postmans Lock Plate has the addition of a protective plastic film to prevent any scratching. The friction rubbing around the hole was present prior to application, (see before and after), and the turnlock has a little 'creak' which doesn't affect the bag in any way.) 

Underside plates are excellent and the domed base feet display a little scratching and finish loss to their apex.

Top handles are well shaped with minor darkening to the top areas and patina. There are two, 1cm stretches of absent inking, (edge sealant) to the inner sides of each of the top handles, however this is much less noticable to the naked eye and does not affect use in any way.

There is a little flex crackling to the interiors two aperture sides where it joins the top flap and a couple of the handle bases, as shown.

Lined in clean, chocolate, Mulberry Tree fabric with full leather top flap.
