This is a 100% authentic LOEWE Elephant 'Stars' Mini Crossbody Bag in Tan Calfskin Leather with Shiny Gold Hardware.

The Loewe Elephant design is probably the most recognisable, whimsical mainstay of the Loewe Animals Collection. Originally conceived by an artisan who folded a single piece of leather into a three-dimensional elephant shape, it evolved into a global luxury style statement by the then, creative director, Jonathan Anderson. 

Blending novelty with exquisite craftsmanship and luxurious calfskin this rather special celestial edition features crisp white leather stars inlaid directly into the toffee toned hide via intricate marquetry technique. Showcasing the sculptural design, curvy pleating, continuous lines and precise stitching whilst still delivering functionality via the compact interior, this neat little Nellie is a true Loewe icon rather than just a fashion trinket.

Cute, compact and guaranteed to bring you compliments where ever you go, it can be carried by hand, or on the shoulder / across the body by way of the removable and adjustable, cognac leather strap.

Details -

Well shaped, (all photos taken when empty,) this darling piece is in a superb condition.

Colour consistent, without wear, just a couple of extremely light fingernail scuffs to the hide, (barely there,) and few to the black leather on the base.

The white stars, so meticulously inlaid to the hide display the gentlest lifts to points, as is an inevitable part of the natural movement of the piece with use.

Hardware is bright with only very minor dulling to the sides of the zip pull.

All stitching is tight and the hand painted black, inking, (edge sealant) in place, without wear.

A small smudge of stray inking to one of the shoulder straps mini belts, as shown. Present from construction and completely unnoticable without the closest of inspections.

Please note the colour of the shoulder strap is a purposefully darker, cognac tone and not the same shade as the elephant, as is part of the design.

The interior is entirely clean with inking smudging to the inner seam of the trunk. An entirely normal feature of construction and present from purchase.
