Mulberry Effie Satchel in Black Spongy Pebbled Leather

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Medium Sized Effie Satchel in Black Spongy Pebbled Leather with Brushed Gold (Brass) Hardware.

 A simple saddle, flap-bag embossed with the small tree motif, the medium sized Effie satchel is ideal for everyday, ( and also great for travel, as will pack completely flat.)

A relaxed, slouchy shape that hangs effortlessly, whether you carry by the braided top handle or the longer shoulder strap, it's relatively light for size and so easy to use.

Moulding perfectly to your side, it can also be worn across the body, though may sit on or above hip level.

Don't let the Condition Rating deter you, this is a Mulberry that looks even lovelier for the use she's received.

Details - 

Purchased from Mulberry Preloved 29.01.25 and carried only a few times since, she's super supple to the point of puddlesome.

The large pebbly grained leather is smooshily soft, (just look at her creasy rear!), gently glazed, (so repels marks and rain with ease,) and yet somehow manages to deliver the lux-feel of heavy grain leather without the weight.

No wear to the hide, all the corners are curves are excellent, there's just one, small pale mark to the rear RH side of the bag, as shown.

Stitching is tight, she's all entirely structurally sound and though there is inking, (edge sealant) cracking to the sides of the closure tab, the sides of the plait feature top handle and around the D rings loops, this is much less noticable to the naked eye, (and doesn't affect use in any way.)

As often happens with Mulberry hardware produced during this era there is some 'crazing' to the strap clip ends and the serial numbered coin's reverse. Crazing is a deterioration of the lacquer that coats the hardware, not the metal itself, and appears like a shattered mirror. Illustrated clearly by the camera lens in the Gallery below, this is almost invisble in use and does not affect the piece in any way.

The leather of the long shoulder strap and plait top handle is excellent.

The interior is lined in clean, black Mulberry Tree jacquard cotton displaying light general use with zipped pocket and leather trimmed slip pocket.

The top flap is lined in clean, but ruffled black suede with flattening to the nap where it rests over the top tab, when closed.
