An originally styled Lexy crafted from a glossy, grainy polished buffalo hide, (an incredibly resilient finish that glows with an almost metallic sheen,) it's supple, strong and a bag you'll never need to baby.

Carry by hand, on the shoulder or across the body, it's the ideal size for everyday and though it's far from perfect it's still utterly lovely with years of service left to give.

Without close inspection this piece looks in a Very Good condition. 

Carried extensively but cared for well, these pieces soften considerably with use relaxing into a much slouchier silhouette than when new. Shown in the photo gallery when completely empty and also with the Felt Liner, it's squishy, curvy, creasy and will pack completely flat, (so great for travel.)

A dark inky blue, (almost black) shade with a subtle reflective finish that looks silvery when the light catches it, the finish is fabulous. A similar hide to goatskin but with a less granular grain, thre are lots of natural striations, veins and variations.....it's such a characterful hide and wonderfully robust. Very little actual wear to the leather, just some light scuffing and smoothing to the bases corners piping trims.

Hardware initially appears bright and shiny with the Postmans Lock Plate displaying light surface scratches and a little finish loss around the lower perimeters curve. Friction contact scratches between the underside plates from resting together and the metal clad, satchel strap tip ends display extensive scratching and finish loss. Similar finish loss can be noted on the buckles and D rings.

Only when reviewing exceptionally closely can you note the crazing to the hardware throughout. Crazing is a deterioration of the surface finish of the metal and appears like a shattered mirror. It is a deterioration of the lacquer that coats the hardware, not the metal itself. Illustrated clearly by the camera lens, this is much less noticeable to the naked eye and does not affect the use of the piece in any way.

The long, adjustable shoulder strap is softened with some very mild stretching and a sit impression across the last hole where the buckle has been set.

The plate top handle is well shaped, all stitching is tight throughout and the interior is lined in clean, black Mulberry Tree jacquard cotton with a side zipped security pocket and leather trimmed slip pocket.  The underside of the top flap is lined in soft, fine nap suede, displaying flattening to the pile at each side where its rested on the top aperture.

The inking (edge sealant) is cracked throughout, (ie, flap edges, top handle sides, etc), with some small areas of loss on the sides of the shoulder strap, as shown below. Again this does not affect use, however has also been reflected in the price.

A much lovelier bag in the flesh than a listing of it's fault makes it sounds and certainly the close-up photos makes it appear.
