Chanel Vintage Mini Square Single Flap in Black Lambskin with 24ct Gold Hardware

This is a 100% authentic Chanel Vintage Mini Square Flap in Black Lambskin with 24 carat Pure Gold Hardware.

Born in 1990 this stunning 'mini' single flap is the more generously sized version, (same dimensions as this one here,) and those extra few cm can make such a difference!

Ideal for day to night occasions with enough room for all the basics, the shoulder strap can be worn across the body, (will sit on or above hip level,) and at under 400g, it's as light as feather to carry.

Don't let her Condition Rating deter you...... she may be 36 years old but her timeless beauty is unending.

Condition -  Well Used

Details -

Gently softened, the RH side panel has acquired a slight outwards bow when comparing to the LH side. Completely unnoticable unless you are inspecting closely.

The very slightest compression creasing the lower, front, there's no vintage aroma, no immediately visible wear and rich 24K gold plated hardware is beautifully bright and shiny throughout.

The soft lambskin hide is matte, a little dry but flap and base corners are entirely unworn, stitching is all strong and though the profile of the quilting flat, it's colour consistent and incredibly lovely.

A couple of light scratches to the surface of the lambskin, (see lower RH side panel and LH side of front CC plaque,) they are both much less noticable than the close up photos make them appear.

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due to the surface impressions to the rear of the bag where the chain strap has rested against the hide in storage.

The chain and leather shoulder strap is excellent, without any stretching or wear.

The CC clasp displays some a small area of oxidisation to the gold plating on the lower LH side which results in a textural change. The underside plate and staff are excellent.

The two eyelets to the interior of the bag housing the shoulder chains display minor surface scratches and tarnish, (hard to capture on camera.)

 The interior is lined in clean, bordeaux lambskin with a textile zipped pocket and twin leather slip pockets. There is a rub to the interior RH side slip pocket's rear wall and similarly to the inner LH seam. Both shown clearly in the Gallery, to view with the naked eye you have to pull the seams open, (so are both invisible in use.)

As is commonly seen on these pieces with use there is a teeny split to the leather in the lower LH corner of the zip pocket opening. 

Overall, a fabulous vintage Chanel that, if cared for well, will continue to age gracefully and bring joy for years to come.
