Mulberry Small Del Rey in Emerald Textured Lizard Printed Calfskin - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Del Rey (smaller sized) in Emerald Lizard Textured Calfskin with Shiny Gold Tone Hardware.

Named after Lana Del Rey, this sadly now discontinued style is a neat, zip top boston bag with Postmans Locked front flap pocket.

A dinky, spring loaded padlock to the side, (so you can secure the top zip,) it's crafted from a jewel-green toned, robust, lizard scale embossed calfskin, (think like mini caviar leather!)

Plenty of capacity for everyday, it can be carried by the top handles, on the shoulder or across the body by way of the removable and adjustable long strap. (Please note it may sit on or above hip level if worn as a messenger.)

Details -

Never actually carried, original protective film in place on all lockplates and padlock, the hide is thick but pliable, not stiff or hard sided with a gentle sheen that repels marks and rain with ease. Natural undulations to the form, it doesn't hold it's shape when empty but hasn't yet softened into the more supple silhouette that these peices develop with use.

Immaculate leather with the exception of a tiny chip to the finish on the front flap's LH side, (see location circled and shown with the zoom.) Corners and curves are perfect, base feet immaculate and the top handles are firm and perfectly shaped.

The shoulder strap has been stored with the buckle set across the middle hole resulting in a light wave and there is a tiny chip to the edge of underside of the strap as shown. The remainder is As New.

Entirely colour consistent all stitching tight and inking (edge sealant) in place, the reason for the Condition Rating is due to the finish loss and crazing to some of the hardware, as is so often seen on these pieces. Currently affecting the top loop of the padlock, the underside of the front RH side's top handles D ring and the Mulberry embossed key ring within the hanging cloche. Crazing is a deterioration of the surface finish of the metal and initially appears like the surface of a shattered mirror. This can develop into finish loss, (as is the case with the key ring loop in this case) but it doesn't always. Very difficult to see with the naked eye and completely unnoticable in use, it doesn't affect the use of the piece in any way however it is not restorable without hardware replacement.

The interior is lined in pristine, dark chocolate Mulberry Tree jacquard with deep zip pocket and leather trimmed slip pocket. The front pocket's top flap is lined in soft, fine nap suede.

Please note the very, very slightest stored aroma, (this piece is almost 13 years old). Almost undetectable.... it's literally barely there..... but if you are very sensitive to smell, (as I am) you may just about be able to identify.
