Louis Vuitton Vintage Ellipse MM in Monogram Canvas

This is a 100% authentic Louis Vuitton Ellipse MM in Monogram Cavnas with Vachette Leather Trims and Golden Brass Hardware. 

One from the vintage vault, the iconic medium sized Ellipse is a sleek, structured, top handled, hard shell bag with a lockable, secure zip top.

Discontinued in 2007 and reinvented in smaller iterations, the MM is the ideal bag when you need space & style!

Details - 

An absolute testiment to the quality of materials and craftsmanship back then, this work-horse of a bag was born 23 years ago and has been used regularly since.

Crafted from a thick, grainy canvas, the form is still very solid and firm though the silhouette has warped slightly, as is so commonly found on these pieces over time.

No wear to the canvas or motifs, stitching all tight with only minor surface ruffling, red bonding in place on top handles and the debossed zip pulls displays only the slightest scratches, as shown.

The zips run smoothly, (please note there is no padlock present,) and through the calfskin vachette trim around the zip is dry and slightly ruffled, there is is no detriment.

Vachette is honeyed througout with some burnishing to the trim, light scuffing and marking to handle base petals.

The metalware of the square rings that attach the handles display scratching and finish loss. 

The top handles a are firm and well shaped with darkening from being hand-held and there are numerous marks, as shown.

The interior is lined in clean brown textile displaying light general use with a small pale smudge to the back wall of the leather trimmed slip pocket.

Top handles have a fixed drop of 10cm.
