Mulberry X Acne Studios Messenger in Black Scotchgrain & Tan Calfskin - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry X Acne Studios Messenger Bag in Black Scotchgrain with Smooth Tan Leather Trims and Golden Brass Hardware. 

From the 2019 capsule collection between Mulberry and Acne Studios these limited edition designs combine heritage and house codes reinterpreted by the iconic Swedish brand with an added twist of their own DNA.

Taking elements of the Trout Satchel from the Mulberry archives and imbuing with Acne's signature styling, this compact flap bag is crafted from ultra robust scotchgrain, (a durable, lightweight material made from recombined bio-plastic, embossed with a distinctive pebble grain finish) trimmed by a smooth, finely grained calf leather.

The front flap seals with three, simple, self locating poppers beneath the trio of faux buckles and the interior features a double-flap layout lined in herringbone weave twill with leather trimmed slip pocket.

With a neat, top handle that can be placed upright or down as preferred, the removable, wide, logo embossed strap is ideal for the shoulder or cross body wear.

Details -

A robust, semi-structured form, there's no wear to the scotchgrain whatsoever, just a small smudge of stray inking, (edge sealant) to the interior flaps upper LH side. Location circled and shown in close up detail, this was present from manufacture and is very inconspicuous.

Stitching all tight, inking unworn and hardware excellent throughout with natural tonal variations, the reason this piece hasn't achieved an Excellent condition rating is due to the two burnished rubs to the calfskin trim on the upper LH sides flap curve where the oversized snap hook contacts in use. Much less noticable than the photos provided make them appear.

Light wear to the tan calfskin on the two rear handle bases and a sit impression with minor discolouration across the middle hole of the shoulder strap, where the buckle has been set.

The interior is fully lined in entirely clean, beige herringbone weave with the commonly found, vague, tan contact mark to the lining on the top flap, where the leather clad prestud button rests when closed, (barely visible to the naked eye.)
