Mulberry Limited Edition Season of Light Teddy Bear 'Jack Mulberry-Merrythought' - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Limited Edition, (No 55 of 600) Teddy Bear, 'Mr. Jack Mulberry-Merrythought'. 

Mulberry’s "Season of Light" 2019 campaign, celebrating holiday joy and connection, was an initiative supporting the UK charity Beam, which helps people from homelessness start new careers.  Featuring a curated gift collection, including a collaboration with Merrythought, the 'Jack' and 'Jackie' Teddy Bears were produced in limited numbers with all proceeds going to Beam.

Adorably cute, he's entirely hand-made from premium materials, fully jointed with an embroidered nose and smile and sports Mulberrys traditional tartan knit jumper in red. Completed by oak leather hand and feet pads, the the RH foot embroidered by the Mulberry Tree logo.

"The story of Merrythought began in 1930. William Gordon Holmes, owner of a spinning mill in Yorkshire called ‘Holmes & Laxton’, recognised the opportunity to make premium soft toys from the luxurious natural fibres they sourced. He found a beautiful brick foundry building in Ironbridge, home of the industrial revolution, and with the help of a team of skilled local seamstresses, Merrythought was born. The first collection was designed by Florence Attwood, a remarkable pattern maker who overcame many challenges associated with being deaf and unable to speak, to create some of the most iconic designs. Just stored since purchase, Jack himself is perfect. The only reason for the Condition Rating and * classification is due the slightly creased corners to his cardboard label and the general marking to the outer cardboard tube.
