Mulberry Vintage Maberley Shoulder Bag in Gunmetal Metallic Matt Glove Leather

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Vintage Maberley Shoulder Bag in Gunmetal Metallic Matt Glove Leather with Brushed Bronze Hardware.

 Direct from the archive vaults, this 2005 model, (designed by Belinda Scott-Maberley at The Rookery,) is crafted from a gently glittery, pewter toned, soft and supple, Italian speciality leather.

A naturally soft sided design....creasy, characterful with oodles of Mulberry DNA, (an adjustable and removable, plait feature shoulder strap, Postmans Lock and curvy flap,) it's easy to use, light to carry is fully lined in thick, black, cotton-linen textile with zipped pocket. 

Compact in size but not tiny, it accomodates all the basics and can be worn on the shoulder or carried by hand.

Ideal for day to evening occasions or just to display as a Collectors Item, it's an incredibly rare piece to now find.

Details -

Very little actual 'wear', the form is still good, the metallic shine still bright and uniform and without close inspection it looks in a Very Good condition, without doubt.

A light fingernail scuff to the front, lower LH side and four, small dark marks to the hide as shown below. One is to the rear RH side, one to the front, lower LH side and two to the inside of the top flap, on the upper RH side, (all barely visible to the naked eye as so well camouflaged by the reflective nature of the metallic sheen.)

Light rubbing to the finish at two of the base corners.

Inking, (edge sealant,) is all in place but dry throughout (due to age.) Not sticky or cracking but has deteriorated with time.

Stitching is tight with surface ruffling that makes the thread look slightly fluffy when reviewing closely.

The Postmans Lock displays scratches, friction rubbing and and finish loss around the turnlock hole as does the turnlock and the underside plates.

The shoulder strap has been stored folded so displays slight waving.

The interior is entirely clean, (the white speckles are from tissue paper stuffing.)

Please note that this piece was made a time when Mulberry didn't put serial numbers on the back of the discs, in all of their bags.

Still an incredibly beautiful bag..... please don't let the Condition Rating and listing of her aging deter you. ! This blast from the past still has so much joy to bring.

Shoulder strap is removable and has an adjustable drop from 21cm to 29cm, (not suitable for cross body wear.)
