This is a 100% authentic Hermés Evelyne III 33 GM in Etoupe Taurillon Clemence Leather with Shiny Palladium Silver Hardware.

The Evelyne was named after Évelyne Bertrand, who was the head of Hermès’s riding department. It was designed in 1978 to carry grooming equipment and was sold in stores alongside other equestrian goods. The perforated H was designed to enable air to enter the bag to dry the equipment.

This larger sized Evelyne III is made in one of the most coveted Hermes colors - Etoupe, a classic grey shade with a gentle-clay-green undertone.

Crafted from a soft and pliable clemence bull hide with white contrast stitching, perforated H icon to the front, rear pocket, pull tab top closure with snap closure at the rear, and a matching removable, adjustable canvas and leather shoulder / crossbody strap.

Iconic simplicity, lots of capacity and utterly beautiful.

Without the closest of inspections this beautiful piece looks barely carried.

A naturally supple silhouette, the hide appears immaculate throughout. No wear to corners or curves, no scuffs or scratches and entirely colour consistent throughout. Only under magnification can you see a tiny, diagonal, hairline scratch to the surface of the leather clad popper, (almost invisible to the naked eye.) The metal base plate of the popper displays a little aging, (completely unnoticable and doesn't affect the use of the piece in any way.)

Stitching all tight and inking, (edge sealant) in place the long, webbed canvas strap is still smooth with a couple of light impressions to the textile where the movable buckle has been set.

Bright and shiny hardware, the snap hooks display surface scratches from contact with the D rings, however this is much less noticable than the close up photos makes this appear.

The interior is self lined in clean, deep nap suede displaying ruffling from use. The reason for the *notation is due to the two marks to the suede of the main compartment, both quite vague. Locations circled and shown in detail in the Gallery above.
