This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oxblood Natural Coloured Vegetable Tanned Leather with Shiny Gold Tone Hardware.

Made in England, from a beautifully thick, morello cherry / black forest toned natural vegetable tanned hide....a colourway, (and an original hide,) so sadly discontinued.

Characterful, sturdy and traditional, its everything we knew and loved from the era of Mulberry's finest craftsmanship and materials.

Reminiscent of Darwin of old, this is a bag that will just get better and better with age and use, growing old more gracefully than any more recent leathers.

A strong and robust form with a relaxed silhouette, it will stand empty with an inherent suppleness that will develop further with use.

A floppy flap with a gentle, horizontal dip undulation along the top, (as is part of this design, ) shoulder straps are firm and well shaped though will naturally flop downwards when not held or on the shoulder, due to the softening to their bases. 

Glossy, grainy and characterful, its been carried extensively but as is inevitable with this finish there are a few very light surface scratches and lightening to the colour on the sides and base corner curves, (not wear) as is commonly seen on these pieces.

A 1.5cm, horizontal scuff to the base's upper LH edge and a light diagonal scratch below the lock plates, easily remedied with the application of the correct colour Collonil cream.

Stitching all strong and inking (edge sealent) in place with wear to the two flap inlets (that sit over the front handle bases when the flap is closed).

Surface impressions to the rear of the top flap from the two triangular shaped rear handle base inserts.

The Postmans Lock Plate is excellent with only a couple of barely visible hairline scratches. There is contact scratching to the underside plates and some finish loss to the upper plate, round the turnlock hole.

 Self lined in entirely clean suede with a zipped pocket and two slips.
