This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Dorothy Satchel in Black Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with Golden Brass Hardware.
An absolute stunner of a bag that so sadly came and went from Mulberrys' seasonal collection in the blink of an eye......they just don't make them like this anymore.
Curvy and angular, (imagine a cross between a Small Bayswater Satchel and an Antony,) Dorothy is a roomy, daytime satchel with oodles of old-school charm.
Crafted in the most beautiful thick, robust and characterful NVT hide, she's easy to use, a joy to carry and the top aperture opening can be varied via the internal belt .
Lined in a robust, black, linen cotton with generous zip pocket, a leather trimmed slip pocket and the top flap is self lined in soft, black suede.
Wear on the shoulder or hand hold by way of the single top handle, (please note may sit on or above hip level if worn across the body.)

Details -
No wear to the hide, just some barely there scuffs to the LH side of the flap and a light diagonal scratch to the lower, RH front. Locations circled and shown in the Gallery above, you have to angle the bag to view and even then, they are completely unnoticable.
A gloriously striated hide, scuffs and scratches form a normal feature of the finish with use, as does natural softening to the form. Shown sitting when empty, (and when worn on the shoulder when empty,) you'll need to add in a firm felt liner if you prefer the more upright look.
A slightly grainier hide to the top flap than the main body, as is often found on these pieces, the leather is supremely characterful and will just get better and better with age, use and care.
Top handle is firm and well shaped. Shoulder strap excellent with a slight wave across the middle hole where the buckle has been set.
Stitching all tight throughout and inking (edge sealant) in place with minor flex cracking to the sides of the flap, (only visible if you extend them back to view.)
Hardware is excellent with the exception of the underside plate which dipslays slight contact dulling and there is a tiny area of friction rubbing around the Postmans Lock turnlock hole, (only visible under magnification.)
Clean, black textile interior, the suede to the top flap is gently ruffled with shallow, horizontal, linear flattening to the nap where it rests across the front aperture.
