LOEWE Medium Classic Puzzle Bag in Tan Calfskin with Palladium Silver Hardware - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic LOEWE Medium Classic Puzzle Bag in Tan Calfskin with Palladium Silver Hardware.

Not the 'Edge' version.... this is Jonathan Anderson's originally styled Puzzle which has an undoubtedly become the Loewe icon.

An innovative cuboid shape and multi-functional style, (even folding down flat, making it the perfect for travel,) with hand-painted edges, herringbone weave linen weave lining, two internal slip compartments, handy exterior zip back pocket and, of course, the embossed Anagram.

Staying true to the Spanish brand's artisanal approach, construction required 524 by-hand crafted actions in the factory just outside of Madrid, taking almost nine hours to be completed and is impressively composed of 41 different leather pieces, nine textile pieces, 45 pieces of cloth, along with the addition of metalwares and zips.

Details -

A fabulously thick leather but supple construction, it will hold its shape when empty, but isn't structured or hard sided. Just enough 'give' to make it perfect to carry.....and in any way you want! 

No softening, creasing, or immediately visible wear. Entirely colour consistent throughout, evenly grained with the amazing ability to change intensity in different lights...it's a rich toffee-tan tone in some and a creamy caramel in others, just beautiful!

An extremely light surface graze to the base, (location circled and shown with the zoom,) and a couple of tiny flex crackles at the side loops where the hide moves against the inking (edge sealant) which is entirely concealed by the construction. Both incredibly hard to see without the closest of inspections.

Hardware is bright and shiny excepting the four, diagonal-bar feet to the base which display surface scratching from being placed down.

The rolled leather top handle is clean, nicely shaped and without wear and the shoulder strap is similarly excellent with only light waving where the staffs have been set.

The interior is lined in entirely clean, natural, herringbone woven, linen-marl with two slip pockets.
