Balenciaga Sac Classique Mini First in Marigold Chevre

This is a  100% authentic Balenciaga Mini 'First' in Marigold Yellow Chevre (Goatskin) with Classic Dark Aged Brass Hardware.

Perfectly proportioned but ultra-petite, this utterly adorable mini edition of the iconic motorcycle bag is such a rare find!

Only produced in 2004 to 2005, it's crafted from a gorgeously crinkly, glossy goatskin in a beautifully bright, ochre-yellow shade.

Light as a feather, it will accommodate the essentials, (phone, card case, keys, lippy,) but do check dimensions carefully as is very compact.

Add in a messenger strap to wear cross body, (not included), carry by the top handles or on the shoulder (under the armpit,) by the short strap, this blast-from-the-past is a true gem.....and one of my personal favourite Balenciaga's ever!

Details -

An incredibly well cared for piece, there is almost no actual wear to this bag. 

The chèvre leather is soft, supple, fabulously crackly and characterful with the signature textured and distressed look that form part of the purposeful look of a beautiful Balenciaga.

Corners and curves are pristine, all colour consistent, stitching tight and there are only a couple of the very lightest surface scratches to the mirror glass, (not even capturable on camera.)

Tassles are intact, without splitting or issue and the top zip runs smoothly and cleanly.

Inking (edge sealent) displays wear to both sides of the leather loops that the O rings of the shoulder strap attach to. The darkening is caused by the contact with the hardware but is much less visible to the naked eye than the close up photos make this appear.

The removable short, shoulder strap is excellent and top handles well shaped with some minor adhesive discolouration to the holes of the whipstitching as often happens with age. Extremely difficult to see without very close inspection.

Hardware displays age related spots of tarnish throughout (which do blend with the vintage character of the finish,) so please don't let the close up photos put you off.....it's part and parcel of the best of Balenciaga.

The interior is lined in entirely clean, black cotton with a full depth, side zipped pocket.
