Mulberry Vintage Classic Regular Antony in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Vintage, Classic, Regular Sized Antony in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with Antiqued Brass Hardware.

Crafted from a beautiful, original NVT hide, this first version of the Antony is slightly larger than the current 'small' with just the right amount of room for everyday.

Details - 

Though its rare for the Nest to sell such an aged bag, this Antony is all completely structurally sound, stitching all intact and even more lovely for all the use he's received.

The leather is fabulous. Creasy, characterful with lots of striations, minor burnishes and squidy corners. He's gently softened but not slouchy and an incredibly robust and resilient fella so a bag you'll never need to baby.

An area of tiny, dot catches to the hide's surface on the front, lower RH side side. Invisible when looking straight on, these can only be seen if you angle to view.

Wear to the inking (edge sealent) at the base corners, at the top aperture's sides and flex cracking around the two top D rings. Whilst this all looks severe in the close up photos, to the naked eye it's hardly noticeable.

The glossy Postmans Lock Plate displays surface scratches and finish loss around the turnlock hole. The smooth turning, turnlock displays scratches and finish loss to it's sides and there is contact rubbing to the two interior, underside plates.

The webbed cross body strap is excellent. Firm and without wear, just the usual 'sit' impression where the buckle has previously sat.

The interior suede lining is both ruffled and flattened as happens with use and there are a number of small marks, as shown in detail in the Gallery above.

A much nicer Antony that a list of his faults makes him sound and a real testimony to the longeivity of Mulberry..... a bag with many more years of service left to give.
