The iconic Dior Book Tote, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, (Creative Director Of Christian Dior) was originally inspired by a House’s archive drawing produced by Marc Bohan in 1967.

The aesthetics and silhouette may be simple but this entirely hand crafted, Limited Edition reinterpretation of the house’s iconic Book Tote is an ode to Christian Dior’s fondness for England.

Only removed from protective packaging, (by me) for inspection and photos, it initially appears perfect and pristine in every way.

Well shaped, firm and upright, (all photos are taken when empty), the colours are bright and the finish is just as it left Dior. (Please note that tiny tufts to the surface is an inherent feature of this finish.)

Natural waviness to the seams on the undersides of the top handles, which again forms a completely normal part of the design,) the reason for the *notation is due to a very commonly found issue with these pieces. There are two small smudges of stray adhesive* to the top handles bases, (front LH side & rear, RH side.) Present from construction, this is glue used by the craftsman to secure the seams that has yellowed with age, (it would not have been visible initially, as only darkens with time.) Shown in close up detail in the photo's above, it's much less visible to the naked eye, however has been reflected in the price.
