This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Margaret (smaller sized) in Black Soft Matte Leather with Gold Tone Hardware.

Midway in size between a regular and a medium Lily, the Margaret is a classic flap bag adorned by the fabulously fun 'We Believe in Tea & Cake' plaque.

Two gloriously grumpy bulldogs, one balancing a teapot on his head and the other a cup-cake, the regal crown and belted plaque is a tribute to the late Princess Margaret.

Wear on the shoulder, across the body or tuck the chain strap inside to carry as a clutch.

  

Condition - Well Used

 

Details -

Though it's rare for the Nest to list a piece described as Well Used, there are some pieces that are still so lovely it would be a shame to pass them by.

A naturally supple silhouette, the form of the bag has softened with use and though will stand empty, the inclusion of the felt liner helps provide additional structure.

Colour consistent, there are no marks, scratches or scuffs to the hide. No wear to the corners or curves, just the usual smoothing of the grain that happens with use.

Stitching all strong and inking (edge sealent) in place with the commonly seen flex cracking to the flaps sides and around the loops that secure the shoulder straps O rings. All entirely structurally sound.

The Margaret plaque is excellent with just the tiniest surface scratches to each of the bulldog's chins and a miniscule, diagonal, hairline scratch to the teapot, all completely invisible to the naked eye.

There is wear to the leather piece intertwined within the chain strap, which appears as tiny tufts where the raw leather edges have rubbed slightly with friction. The chain displays surface contact scratches and mild discolouration, which is unoticable unless under magnification.

The interior is lined in clean, soft suede, (an additional layer, not self lined,) and shows general use, ruffling, creasing and flattening to the pile. There is a small rectangular mark inside the zipped pocket which is sticker residue from Mulberry's QA inspection process.
