Chanel Boy Old Medium in Red Chevron Quilted Suede - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Chanel Boy Old Medium Sized Flap Bag in Red Chevron Quilted Suede with Shiny Ruthenium Silver Hardware.

Crafted from a rich red toned, fine nap nubuck suede, it's a rare balance between bold and elegant.

Unlike most suede finishes with a deep pile, (that can often look much more Used in photos,) this finish camouflages wear under the camera's lens and does, unusually, appear more Loved to the naked eye, than in the pictures.

Still a beautiful piece however......an ideal first Chanel purchase or just a bag you'll never need to baby.

Wear long on the shoulder or doubled, (not suited to crossbody wear), there's more than enough room inside for all the basics and it's as at home in the day as it is the night.

Condition - Well Used

Details -

A semi structured silhouette, it's well shaped, firm with nicely defined chevron quilts and all stitching is firmly in place.

The shiny ruthenium hardware is excellent throughout and original protective film retained on underside plate.

The interior is lined in entirely clean, burgundy grossgrain textile with slip pocket.

There is tiny, dark, spot mark to the front, middle RH side of the flap, (location circled and shown close up.) There is also a very vague, small mark to the upper LH side top curve, one to the front, lower RH of the front underside and couple to the lower RH side of the base, again all shown. None are noticable unless you are inspecting closely.

However the reason for the Condition Rating is due to the nature of this fine-nap nubuck. Unlike most suede finishes with a deep pile, (that can often look much more worn in photos,) this shallower pile finish camouflages wear under the camera's lens and appears more Well Used to the naked eye than in the pictures.

There is general flattening to the surface of the nap, particularly around the moulded, triple, outer frame where you can note darkening to corners, curves, the inner flaps' lining and a feeling of Use that doesn't convey as noticably in the Gallery above as it does in real life.

That's not to say it isn't absolutely lovely though! The rather lived-in charm brings with it a wonderful warmth and casual feel to a bag that you may otherwise feel more precious about carrying.
