Protective film not placed on hardware from the time of manufacture, this stunning piece has just been stored carefully since purchase and is almost as pristine at the day she was made.

A small, diagonal scratch* to the bases' lower corner curve on the front, LH side and a very light fingernail scuff to the top RH side of the flap, (see close up photos provided above,) the remainder of the piece is perfect.

As is a normal feature of construction there are surface impressions to the flap from the four, handle base inserts and linear flattening to the suede on the top flaps lining where it rests across the top aperture when closed. 

The golden brass hardware is glossier than Mulberry's current hardware with a more characterful 'antiqued' finish. The diagonal line to the lower of the Postmans Lock Plate shown in the close-up photo is part of this finish, not a scratch. 

The lightest evidence of the piece having sat on the store shelf, to the apex of the base feet.
