Made in England from a rich berry-burgundy toned hide, this Small Zipped Bayswater is the ideal option for those who like a secure, zip top closure.

Crafted in a evenly grained, vegetable tanned hide, (a larger and more pebbly grain than the current, 'Small Classic Grain'), its as robust and firm but with just that little more character. 

This is how Mulberry describe their revamped masterpiece. "The Bayswater is our most iconic bag, and its eponymous collection includes new styles inspired by the original. The Small Zipped Bayswater is the perfect option for those who like a zipped closure. Using the same construction as a Bayswater, this new style plays with the detail - deconstructing the front by removing the flap and using the iconic postman's lock to secure two belted straps."

Details -

Purchased from John Lewis 04.02.22, without very close inspection under magnification this piece looks barely carried.

A nicely structured silhouette, protective film in place on base plate, all hardware is excellent, all stitching strong and inking (edge sealent) without wear.

Light rubbing to the gold foil embossed 'Mulberry England' lettering to the front of the the bag and extremely slight surface scuffing to the two, rear, base corner curves. 

The shoulder strap is excellent and top handles, firm and well shaped however there are a number of tiny scratches, all shown above.

Two extremely light, surface scratches to the rear of the bag, one near the base and a longer, vertical one near the upper RH side. Locations highlighted and shown with the zoom. There is also a very vague, dark dot sized mark to the rear, RH side, near the corner, (also circled) which is stray inking, present from construction. All so insignificant and invisible to the naked eye, you'd never see them unless you knew they were there. However this has been reflected in the Condtion Rating and the price.

The interior is lined in clean, gentle ruffled suede with a light mark to the base area on the RH side, as shown.
