This is a 100% authentic Hermés Evelyne III 33 GM in Noir (Black) Taurillon Clemence Leather with Shiny Palladium Silver Plated Hardware.  

Iconic in its simplicity & crafted from a soft & supple, pebbled hide with a tactile, demi-matte finish, the Evelyne is a classic that will always stand the test of time. 

"The story behind

Since 1978, this bag has enchanted daily riders. First intended to tend horses, it is sewn without a lining and brightened up with an “H” perforation, which the initiates wear against the body, in order to allow the equipment to dry. With its girth-like shoulder strap, the Évelyne is the perfect heart-minder.

 Taurillon Clemence Leather
Named in tribute to the daughter of the designer who introduced it into the collections, this leather was developed for luggage and is the ultimate example of a grained leather that has been drummed. This process softens the skin and brings a generous grain to the surface.

The Evelyne was named after Évelyne Bertrand, who was the head of Hermès’s riding department. It was designed in 1978 to carry grooming equipment and was sold in stores alongside other equestrian goods. The perforated H was designed to enable air to enter the bag to dry the equipment.

Crafted from a soft and pliable bull hide it's iconic in it's simplicity with lots of capacity for everyday and in a superb condition throughout.

Nicely softened, this outstanding piece has been cared for incredibly well.

No wear to the hide whatsoever. Entirely colour consistent, evenly and beautifully pebbly and utterly heavenly to the touch.

Stitching all strong, leather immaculate and hardware excellent with only extremely light surface scratches, (not visible to the naked eye), the interior is self lined in clean, gently ruffled suede. Very slight, natural aging (lightening) to the inner seam areas, as is commonly seen on this design.

The webbed shoulder strap displays light surface rubbing, as is inevitable with use.
