Chanel Vintage Medium Double Flap Bag in Black Chevron Quilted Lambskin - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic, Chanel Medium Sized Double Flap in Black Chevron Quilted Lambskin with 24 Karat Gold Hardware.

A vintage piece, predating the introduction of serial numbers in 1986, this fabulous flap bag has been cared for extraordinary well.

Gleaming, rich gold harware, matte v stitched quilting and beautiful, smooth bordeaux calfskin lining, it's the epitome of classic Chanel.

Loved and adored, it is a well used bag without a doubt but its undeniable charm, incredible craftsmanship and ultra soft lambskin makes it an utterly stunning piece.

Condition -  Well Used

Details - 

A softened silhouette, the base area displays horizontal creasing and the bag will nod forwards when standing empty. The form is still good but the addition of a felt liner would provide volume and support for the very creasy, (and utterly strokable!) side panels.

Only minor deflation to the quilt, it's all colour consistent though the light, fingernail scuffs throughout give it it a characterful depth that only develops with time and use.

Corners, flap edges and curves are very good, without visible rubbing, just the gentlest surface smoothing and the only real 'wear' to the hide is a single, diagonal scratch to the rear LH side of the bag and the surface impressions to the rear pocket where it's rested on the chain strap in storage.

There are the commonly seen surface impressions to the smooth, black lambskin leather on the LH side of the interior flap where the zip pull header rests when the top flap is closed, (storage felt has now been added to prevent further indents.)

There are a few miniscule spots of tarnish to the metal on the interior side's circular eyelets.

Stitching is all tight and in place and the chain and leather shoulder strap is excellent.

The gold plated hardware is all bright and shiny, the front CC plaque displays only miniscule hairline scratches however there is the beginnings of finish loss to the sides of the bases staff, (see zoomed photo above.)

The bordeaux toned calfskin lined interior is clean, without any detriment, just light fingernail scratches and natural creasing throughout, as shown.

No vintage or stored aroma, it's a far lovelier bag in the flesh than a listing of its wear makes it sound!
