This is a 100% authentic Hermès Dogon Duo Combined Wallet in Orange Taurillon Clemence with Gold Hardware .

 This beautiful, large sized folio wallet with tab 'tuck-through' closure has a removable zip pouch and is crafted from the most divinely soft and vibrant, pebbled bull calfskin.

A rare colour to find paired with Gold hardware, its a stunning piece.

"The story behind

The Dogon wallet or coin purse, echoes the theme of Africa, which was given pride of place by Hermès in 1997. Recognizable by its Clou de Selle clasp where a leather strap is delicately slipped through, it is lined with lamb leather. The Dogons Compact or Cards Duo format with a removable wallet can be slipped into a bag or pocket and are available in various colors." Hermés.com

 Details -

The leather is sublime. Colour consistent, evenly and deeply grained, wonderfully soft and without, wear, scratches or scuffs. One pin prick sized black dot to the front upper RH side, virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Incredibly tactile, the form is supple but not floppy with commonly seen surface undulations, (note the front LH side.)

Gentle, natural, vertical, linear surface impressions to the smooth lambskin lining of the flap as is the design of the piece when resting on the pocket seams beneath, (all immaculate throughout). The lining of the zip purse is a beautifully pebbly taurillon and similarly shows no use.

All stitching is tight, edging in place, (the V ravines at each side of the flap's base are part of the construction of the piece, not cracks,) and the Gold plated 'Clou de Selle' closure is bright and shiny with only minor, hairline scratches, as shown.

The reason for the *notation is due to the aging to the gold finish of the Hermès embossed zip pull of the coin purse. Shown in the close up photos above, this is much less noticable in use.
