Chanel Vintage Mini Square Flap Bag in Black Lambskin with 24K Gold Hardware - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Chanel Vintage Mini Square Flap in Black Lambskin with 24 carat Pure Gold Hardware.

Whilst its rare for the Nest to sell a vintage piece, there are some that are so incredibly beautiful it would be wrong not to!

So inky black it looks almost midnight blue, this divine, classic Chanel mini is one not to be missed.

Born in 1999, this timeless Chanel has years of service yet to give.

Well shaped (the form is only gently softened) with compression creases to the quilt across the lower base and the natural horizontal crease along the top rear where the flap flexes open, there's no vintage aroma, no scrapes or scratches and hardware is beautifully bright and shiny throughout.

The soft lambskin hide is matte, a little dry but flap and base corners are entirely unworn, stitching is all strong and though the profile of the quilting is deflated from age, its colour consistent and incredibly lovely.

A few of the lightest fingernail scratches to the surface of the lambskin, (so faint and vague to be barely even there), there are a few small surface impressions to the upper RH side of the rear slip pocket, where the chain strap has rested against the hide in storage.

The chain and leather shoulder strap is excellent, without any stretching or wear.

The CC clasp, underside plate and staff are similarly excellent, without visible scratches or issue.

 The interior is lined in clean, burgundy lambskin with a zipped pocket and slip pocket. There is a small catch to the interior trim of the slip pocket, as shown.

As is commonly seen on these pieces there is light rubbing to the leather on both of the top edges of the sides, where the Chanel embossed strap hooks contact against the seam in use. The RH side top seam's burgundy leather has scuffed here, (see photo above).

Overall, a fabulous vintage Chanel that, if cared for well, will continue to age gracefully and bring joy for years to come.

Please note the Chanel Cardboard Presentation Box has acquired a faint, (very pleasant) perfumed aroma from the previous owner's Dressing Room. The bag itself is aroma free.
