Mulberry Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oxblood Coloured Vegetable Tanned Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oxblood Coloured Vegetable Tanned Leather with Shiny Gold Tone Hardware.

Made in England from a beautifully glossy and super thick, plum toned hide, its reminiscent of the Antique Glace leather finish, of old.

Wonderfully traditional, solid and sturdy, its curvy, characterful and everything we loved from Mulberry's yesteryear.

A Bayswater that will just get better and better with age and use, growing old more gracefully than any of the more recent leathers.

 Details -

A strong, robust and curvy style with a soft, rounded silhouette, (see standing empty with shoulder straps resting downwards) and the commonly seen, horizontal 'dip' across the back of the flap

Naturally 'inny' corner curves and lots of fabulously characterful creasing, there are the usual light surface scratches to the hide, as forms the inherent nature of this finish with use.

Surface impressions and subsequent darkening (from the colouration of the leather dye being compressed) to the top flap from the triangular formation of the rear handle bases.

No real wear to the leather, just darkening to the colour on the base corner curves and a tiny, 2mm round scuff to the front, lower LH side of the bag, near the piping edge, as shown with the zoom.

Stitching all strong and inking (edge sealent) in place with the exception of some wear to the two front flap inlets (that sit over the two front handle bases) and the handle bases, as shown.

Shoulder straps are unsoftened and well shaped though will flop downwards when not held or placed upright.

The rich gold tone Postmans Lock Plate is excellent, with only a few extremely light hairline scratches, (none that could be captured on camera), and there is minor silvery paling to the end of the turnlock.

Surface scratches to the two underside plates from contact friction.

 Self lined in suede, (not an additional lining) with a zipped pocket and two slip pockets. There is some age related discolouration to the suede and general ruffling, as shown.
