At first review this very handsome piece looks to be in a Very Good, if not Excellent condition. Well shaped, crafted from a rich, oak toned NVT, its thick, robust and without immediately visible wear.
 
This is a leather that ages so incredibly gracefully, gaining patina, character and softening to a fabulous degree. Only the original NVT hide develops a deep gloss with care, age and use......its a bag you'll love more and more every day.
 
Light fingernail scuffs and scratches form part of the hide which can be viewed on the front of the bag and there are some darker, entirely natural diagonal striations to the middle rear of the bag, (both shown looking their most visible, by angling to view, in the last picture of the Gallery above).
 
A vague, horizontal water stain to the middle of the base, along the central seam. Location hightlight and shown with the zoom, this blends so well with the patina of the hide its almost unnoticable in use.
 
Flex cracking to the inking (edge sealent) at the back of the flap sides and wear around the sides of the strap loops where the encase the D rings, as shown. 
 
The long, webbed strap is clean, lightly ruffled with a small smudge of stray inking to its side, as present from construction.
 
The hardware is very good with some minor friction rubbing around the turnlock hold and finish loss to the end of the turnlock.
 
Self lined in clean suede with front slip pocket.
