Mulberry Fox Lock Regular Alexa Satchel in Maxi Grain Nubuck - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Fox Lock Regular Alexa Satchel in Maxi Grain Nubuck leather with pebbled patent leather trims and shiny gold tone hardware.

Crafted from a beautifully thick, matte and deeply textured nubuck suede in a rich, russet tone finished with liquid gloss, mahogany naplak patent trims ..... the pretty little fox head rivets give it that quintessentially quirky Mulberry feel.

A feature central turnlock and so much charm, its a supple and unstructured silhouette that will grow more slouchy with use (so you'll need to add in a Felt Liner if you prefer a more upright look).

An everyday style with just that little something extra and now so rare to find!

Details -

Never actually carried, just purchased by a Mulberry Collector from Wheelers, and placed on display in a cabinet. Without close inspection you would think it was nearly new.

However the reason for the condition rating is due to a number of factors, all relating to the fact this piece is Ex-Display and far from perfect.

A fabulous finish, the natural tonal changes in the shallow, textured nap of the hide depend on how the surface is brushed and how the light falls. All colour consistent and entirely without wear, there is one small, dark dot mark to the RH side of the base plate, (beneath the flap when closed) and two very vague smudges on the upper rear, just below the plait handle. Shown in the close up photos above, these are likely to be stray inking, wiped away in construction by the craftsman, and are all extremely hard to see.

A circular stain* to the middle of the rear of the bag, again present at the time of purchase. Shown in the quad collation above from all angles, it is most visible on camera under a very bright light. However, to the naked eye in natural daylight it really is extremely vague and blends almost imperceptibly with the finish, (hard to believe, I know....but its true)

Three teeny, 1mm scratches to the front RH sides rolled piping trim, near the corner, camoflagued well by the highly reflective nature of the patent. The remainder of the corners and curves are perfect.

All inking and stitching in place, the hardware is excellent with a couple of small hairline scratches to the upper RH side of the outer Fox Lock Ring and surface scratches to the embossed, metal clad, front strap ends.

The Plait top handle is excellent.

The long, detachable shoulder strap displays a surface mark to one end, (concealed by the end of the other part of the strap, see photo above).

Additional there is a gouged 'scar'* to the side of the strap as shown.

All these issues were present at the time of purchase and the Collector purchased the piece with a further discount.

Soft suede lined inner flap and fully lined in chocolate Mulberry tree repeat fabric with a side zipped security pocket and leather trimmed slip pocket.

Please note a light perfumed aroma from the previous owner.
