This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Medium Lily in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with Shiny Gold Hardware.

The larger of the standard Lilys crafted from a thick yet supple, richly seasoned, caramel oak NVT hide.

Robust, characterful with a fabulous deep grain that will continue to mellow and relax with age, its a now discontinued leather, so sadly missed.

Details-

The leather is beautiful. Entirely without wear, just lots of lovely natural striations and few very light fingernail scuffs which form a part of the inherent nature of vegetable tanned leather.

A thick, robust hide, the structure is gentle softened (see photo with forward slouch when empty), it moulds perfectly to your side in use or if you prefer the boxier look, add a felt liner for a firmer shape.

All stitching strong and inking (edge sealent) in place with just two tiny flex cracks to the two sides of the flap where it joins the rear.

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due to the scratches to the Lock Plates and paling to the turnlock end which appears as a very slightly more silvery tone.

Scratches to the Postmans Lock Plate with friction rubbing around the turnlock hole, the base plate has slight dulling around its perimeter and the top underside plate displays contact scratching, finish loss and the beginnings of oxidisation around the turnlock hole, (see zoomed photos).

Mulberry can replace these lock plates, should the buyer wish, at a small cost. However, they do look much less worn to the naked eye than the photos make them appear.

The two top D rings and interwoven leather and chain strap are excellent.

Lined in clean, microfibre with a small, pinkish mark to the middle base, as shown.
