This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Small Bayswater Satchel in Oak Natural Vegetable tanned Leather with brass hardware.

The Small Bayswater Satchel shares all the same features as the Bayswater including the signature postman’s lock, leather fob, and double handles but with the addition of a detachable cross-body strap making it easy and comfortable to carry. An ideal size for taking you through from day to evening and now, so sadly discontinued in the classic style.

Details -

A beautifully thick and robust leather, light fingernail scuffs form an inherent feature of use and aging and will continually develop and blend with time. A gradual deepening in tone and gentle patina should follow....yet to fully form on this piece....but there's the promise of a really characterful finish with time and care.

A gently softened flap with lots of lovely creasiness just beginning, (please note the light pressure indentations to the top flap, caused by the handle inserts as is commonly found on this model,) all stitching is firm in place and the long, detachable shoulder strap excellent.

A natural, vertical, linear striation in the grain on the LH side panel, there are no visible marks, scuffs or scratches and corners are without wear.

Top handles are firm and well shaped, without darkening, just one very small mark to the front, upper RH curve.

Inking, (edge sealent) is all in place with a little flex crackling to each side at the back of the flap.

Postmans Lock Plate and the underside plates are excellent. A rich, bright gold tone brass with a really nice gloss.

Clean, self lined interior with a side zipped pocket, the top flap suede is lightly ruffled from use.

Made in Turkey.

Top Handles are fixed with mid point drop of 9cm and long, detachable strap is adjustable (123cm - 138cm end to end) with a drop of 56cm to 60cm 

Weight is 802g inclusive of strap.
