 This stunning LV icon in a subtly, sparkly rich plum vernis has an issue....though very hard to see!

Absolutely breathtaking, the sparkly rich plum patent vernis is stunning.

Liquid patent gloss all bright and shiny, colour consistent and with no visible marks, scratches or creasing.

Firm, semi structured and well shaped, top handles are perfect, edging in place and interior clean.

At first review it looks nealy new (any white marks or circles in the Photo Gallery above are purely reflections of the light)

On very close inspection you can note the usual, very light, hairline surface scratching to the golden brass hardware and scratches and slight paling to the apex of base feet from being placed down.

Examining the piping trim that runs around the base you can find a 7mm long surface scuff to the front RH, near the corner curve on the RH side (see photo collage below)

The main reason for the Condition Rating and the * denotation is due to an issue so hard to spot, the Seller had no idea that it was even present. From the middle of the rolled piping trim on the front base, extending round the LH side curve to the middle of the LH side panel, is a split where the vernis coating has opened up to reveal the matte amarante piping beneath. Very possibly a manufacturing fault (if the finish was stretched too tight over the tubular inner at the time of construction), this does not look like it will extend but there is unfortunately no way to guarantee this. Visually however, this issue is extremely difficult to see, as so well camoflauged by both the colouration and the finish. You can just about make out a ruffling to the underside and if you angle the base sharply upwards, it looks slightly lighter in colour. Close up photos are provided below (the toothpick is placed to illstrate where the split starts) and the last gallery photo above shows the ruffling under the piping at the corner curve.
