This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Bayswater in Black Drummed Patent Leather with shiny silver tone hardware.

Ultra glossy, liquid patent in the darkest of blacks....this fabulously supple and pliable Bayswater is the perfect antidote to the traditional solid, stiff patent finish. 

 So comfy to carry, it moulds to your side and is one of those Mulberrys that will last and last and last.

Carried extensively its a naturally soft leather in a beautiful, deep, consistent black which literally gleams and shines from every angle.

Still able to stand up when empty, its a gloriously reflective and incredibly forgiving leather...resistent to rain and unlike its firmer, traditional Patent sisters, it doesn't crease or crinkle with time and use.

A testiment to how well this finish wears, there are no visible marks or issues, just a few light surface impressions to the top flap from the handle bases and to the front, from storage. One is a gentle curved impression on the LH side and the other a diagonal linear one across the lower front but they are so very slight and the finish so gloriously reflective, the camera won't even pick them up.

An incredibly forgiving and robust leather.... seemingly resistent to fading and rain and unlike its firmer, traditional Patent sister, it doesn't crease, crinkle or develop 'splits' with time and use.

Entirely without wear, corners are excellent (any white marks in the photos are purely the light reflections), handles are well shaped with all inking (edge sealent) in place to the sides and stitching nicely firm.

The Postmans Lock Plate is bright but with lots of tiny, light hairline scratches and there is friction rubbing and scratches between the two underside plates from contact, (which is the only reason this piece hasn't achieved an Excellent  condition rating).

The interior is self lined in clean, ruffled suede with a zipped pocket and two slip sections.
