This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Multi Tooled Darwin Bayswater with antiqed brass hardware.

A vintage piece, crafted from an incredibly beautiful, thick and characterful combination of Apple Green, Prairie Teal,  Cocoa, Pink and Oak darwin leathers which will continue to richen and mellow with age and use.

Very little actual wear though displaying all the marks, burnishes and fading that this style develops over the years.

A real work-horse of a bag....its one that will go on and on.

Bayswater Details -

The leather is fabulous. Richly seasoned and with oodles of character that gives these magnificent pieces that old world beauty.

Very little wear, the corners are very good, (any white marks are reflections of the light, not scuffing) and there's a light surface rub to the front upper RH side (above the hanging cloche), but structurally and aesthetically, this marvellous Mulberry is a traditionalist's dream!

Some discoloration and fading to the colourway throughout, the smooth tooling has a fabulous mottly appearance...it really does give these pieces incredible charm.

Handle bases show softening and minor inking loss. The shoulder straps are well shaped, without darkening and the rear one has a small mark to the upper curve. All aperture inking is in place and stitching is intact and strong throughout.

The top flap is softened with a creasy texture and the hardware is very good with a little friction rubbing around the Postmans Lock Plates turnlock hole.

The interior is self lined with age related discoloration to the edges of the top flap and areas of orange marking to the interior, (all shown in the gallery above)

As is common on peices made during this era there is no serial number on the internal disc.

Shoulder straps are fixed with mid point drop of 15cm (which is common in tooled Bayswaters as the drop is often less than generous!)
