Mulberry Large Mabel in Sand Lightweight Antiqued Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic, Mulberry Large Mabel

in in Sand Lightweight Antiqued Leather with shiny goldtone hardware.

One of Mulberry's classic (and now vintage) designs the larger sized Mabel is a perfect overnighter, gym or travel bag.

Acres of capacity, she's comprised of three sections....the outer two are lined in a sumptious suede and the inner zipped compartment lined in Mulberry tree fabric.

The large Mabel closes with a real buckle, (not a self locating popper) and  can be carried on the shoulder or by hand.

Super supple, she's unstructured (photographed when full) so perfect if you like a slouchy silhouette and her lovely Vanilla tones are just so pretty!

 Crafted from a very smooth, treated hide named 'Light Weight Antiqued' it's a very distinctive Italian finish that has had a light wax applied to give each product a unique look. It ages naturally, becoming more characterful with use and though the leather does scratch easily these blend with time to give a beautiful, slightly distressed finish.

Details -

Without close inspection there is very little evidence of use.

Well shaped, without scrapes, scuffs or scratches, the shoulder straps are firm, flat, without creasing or darkening and all stitching and inking (edge sealent) is intact throughout.

Some darkening to the corner curves, as inevitable with a light coloured hide, there is no rear wear to leather but as was so commonly seen with this hide there are some pin head sized black dots to the surface. Photographed in the gallery above, each one is magnified so you can see them but to the naked eye they are no more than a speck and present at the time of purchase.

As often encountered with vintage pieces, there has been a development of glue discolouration which can be noted on the RH side seam, the front RH handle base loop, the back of the font LH shoulder strap and a small speck on the front RH side, (all shown in the gallery above).

A light, blue pen catch to the upper RH side of the top of the bag and also the rear LH top, (shown in the gallery above).

Embossed rivets and D ring hardware are excellent and the shiny embossed zip pulls are bright with minor scratching to their outside edges. 

The two outer suede line sections are entirely clean with very slight darkening and ruffling to the outer exposed ears at each side of the bag.

The beige Mulberry tree lined interior section has a large zipped pocket and is clean with just a couple of spots to the base area as shown.
