A chameleon shade, the depth of the tone changes with the intensity of the light. All colour consistent and nicely supple, its a dark flint in some lights ranging to an elephant grey when its bright.
Without close inspection it looks to be in a lovely, gently used condition. Well shaped, shoulder straps appear firm, detachable shoulder strap excellent and hardware all bright and shiny, without visible scratches to the front CC turnlock.
Only when you look very closely can you note some pin head size white spots to the hide throughout, (all photographed in the last photo in the gallery above).
Turn the bag upside down and the base feet display scratching, corners are lightly scuffed with dryness and some colour loss from rubbing.
All stitching and inking, (edge sealent) is intact throughout.
The main reason for the condition rating is due to the movement of the tubular inner* frame of the front RH handle. As part of the constuction of these pieces, the leather is rolled around an 'inner tube' to provide rigidity. This has moved slightly leaving an unsupported gap at the base of the handle. The leather is still so firm that the normal curve of the handle position is maintained and you can't see this issue unless you forceably bend the handle, (see photo above compared to the LH side)
Three internal compartments, the front locked with the CC closure, the middle with a self locating popped on tab and the rear a slip section. Two large zipped pockets to the middle section, there is also a removable zip pouch which attaches with poppers at each side. The lining is generally clean, showing light use and one very vague watermark to the inner LH side.
