A fabulously thick and characterful hide, this Bayswater just oozes old school charm. Though a vintage Mulberry from 2005, its been stored since purchase and is one of those pieces that just gets better with age.
A rich tone to the leather with some natural patination to the tooled sections, there are a few fingernail scuffs, (all shown in the last photo above) and the lightest friction rubbing between the plates and round the turnlock hole.
A gentle curve to the front, LH handle base from being stored 'sideways', this will return to normal with load bearing use.
All stitching and inking, (edge sealent) in place, they didn't put full inking on the handle bases back when this bag was made, so the rear handle bases are visible as two sides of leather lying together. This is part of the construction of these pieces (ie; they haven't separated).
The base corners display some minor surface marking*, (from being placed on a display shelf) and a tiny scratch to one. I have not attempted to clean the marks, though they may be removable.
The interior is pristine, (smells divine! ) and as is common on peices made during this era there is no serial number on the internal disc.
