The Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore collection was first introduced in spring 2003 by Japanese pop artist, Takashi Murakami who decided to revamp the traditional monogram toile and give it a splash of color. He created a new vibrant canvas pallet with 33 silk-screened colors. Together with Marc Jacobs, the Multicolore line became a huge success.
The lovely Eliza is a very pretty, smaller sized shoulder bag, perfect for day to evening occasions.
Well shaped, unsoftened, the canvas is in a superb condition. Clean, colour consistent with bright, precise motifs. There's no wear, no rubbing, no marks, its been cared for incredibly well.
The vachetta is evenly honeyed but clean, without darkening to the shoulder strap which is also, nicely firm and well shaped with all 'red' (inking edge sealent) in place.
A vague mark on the vachette underneath the front strap buckle (not visible when closed) and a small mark to the base trim on the RH side. There's a couple of parallel, fingernail scuffs on the same trim, on the base. (See photo gallery above.)
The hardware is excellent. Bright shiny, with only miniscule hairline polish scratches.
The corners are unworn with the usual slight burnishing that this folded construction brings.
The interior is lined in entirely clean, soft, deep crimson alacantre with a side slip pocket.
