Details -

A superb leather. Ultra grainy, like the bark of a tree....incredibly firm and robust and wonderfull glossy, so shrugs of rain with ease.

A rigid but not completely solid structure, there's no wear to the leather whatsoever.

One, 2mm sized irregularity in the grain on the rear, upper LH side of the bag, (I challenge you to find it!), the reason for the * rating is due to the crazing to the metal on one of the dog clip ends of the shoulder strap and the buckle, (see photos above). The hardware to the bag is unaffected.

Light friction rubbing around the embossed zip pulls holes and between the two undersides of the lockplates. The Postmans Lock Plate is excellent with only one, small, visible hairline scratch to the upper RH side.

A sit impression at the hole on which the buckle's been set (on the shoulder strap) top handles are perfect, all inking (edge sealent) and stitching in place.

The interior is lined in entirely clean, black linen twill with two zipped compartments, a middle compartment with zip pocket and two leather trimmed slip pockets and this section seals with a self locating popper tab. At the front of the bag is a useful postman locked compartment.
