Though its rare for the Nest to sell such an aged bag, this Antony is all completely structurally sound, stitching all intact and even more lovely for all the use he's received.
The leather is glossy with a fabulous creasy texture thats developed though time and care and though he's quite well softened he's an incredibly robut and resilient bag,
Drying and crackling to the inking (edge sealent) at the top, the side flap curves show loss where they flex and the base corners have softened with general wear, see photos above.
The interior suede is ruffled and discoloured as happens with use, particularly the underside of the flap and there is a small, round white mark to the interior RH bottom corner. There is a useful slip pocket to the front of the bag, beneath the top flap.
The Postmans Lock Plate is scratched, though this adds to his vintage charm and there is friction rubbing between the plates. The hole around the turnlock shows loss of finish and the D rings again, display scratches.
The webbed cross body strap is firm, generally without wear or rubbing and just the usual 'sit' impression where the buckle has previously sat.
A much nicer Antony that a list of his faults makes him sound and a real testimony to the longeivity of Mulberry..... a bag with many more years of service left to give.
20cm x 26cm x 7cm
The cross body strap is fully adjustable with a maximum drop of 75cm (longer than the more recent version!)
