Dior Soft Trapezoid Tote (medium sized)

in supple black lambs leather with rich, gold tone hardware.

 

Elegant yet casual, the soft lines and wonderful squooshiness of this cannage stitched Dior makes it a perfect day bag.

Medium sized with a beautiful tapering shape, just remember, this model didn't come with a strap so if you prefer the option to wear on the shoulder you will need to add one, as this model came without.

Details -

Loved and used, over time this iconic, quilt stitched lambskin hide has softened wonderfully so the lovely Dior now, quite literally, puddles when empty, (see photo above).

The leather to the bag is actually in a very good condition with only a few, barely there fingernail scuffs to the surface and the expected, light rubbing to the base corners. More due to the exquisite softeness of the leather than scuffing, the corners appear smoother and more matte but all stitching is in place and there is no breaking to the leather.

The top aperture of the bag is excellent, even at the folds and creases and the dog clip closure is entirely without wear.

The top handles are well shaped and firm with inking (edge sealent) crackling to their sides. There is a dual scar, from a claw set ring to the top of the front handle, on the LH side, which has broken the surface of the leather. A similar, ligher scuff to the same place on the rear handle.

The gold tone hardware is a beautiful, rich gold shade and though slightly dulled with age there is no oxidisation, tarnish or plating loss. Hairline scratches to the hanging charms and only the very slightest hint of paling, the front LH top eyelet displays a zigzagged scratch to its LH side, if you examine closely.

All the issues mentioned above have been photographed in close up detail in the gallery above but are much less noticable in use.

The interior is fully lined in clean, black Dior silk repeat fabric with a side zipped pocket and phone section.
