Chanel Vintage Jumbo Flap Bag in Black Lambskin with Gold Hardware - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic, Chanel Vintage Jumbo Classic flap bag

in black lambskin leather with shiny Gold hardware.

Condition -  Very Good*

Details - 

Well shaped and colour consistent, the lamsbkin leather is fabulous throughout for a piece of this age. 

Some light fingernail scuffs and two hairline surface scratches (one to the front RH lower side and one to the rear LH side) these are only visible on close inspection when you angle the bag away from you to view. (All shown in the photo collage above)

Clean, still with some puffiness, the corners and flap edges show no wear whatsoever and there is relatively little creasing to the form, just the usual horizontal 'lines' just above the base on the reverse.

Some minor surface impressions to the front LH side of the flap from the chain resting against the leather in storage. These will lift with time and use.

All stitching in place and holding stitches tight and the leather to the shoulder strap is without wear, just the tiniest drying to the edges.

The hardware is stunning. Bright, shiny without dulling or tarnish, both the interwoven chain strap and CC clasp are excellent with just a few minor surface dinks and scratches.

The base plate of the clasp displays minor scractings and the exterior, top eyelets displays some very slight oxidisation but no loss of plating or paling whatsoever.

The interior is entirely clean with light fingernail scuffs to the front wall, (below the Made in France lettering) and very slight stretching to the leather slip pocket (see Photo Gallery below)

The main reason for the* rating is due to the mild vintage aroma. Stored without regular airing its only slight from the interior, but is detectable on the exterior and has been reflected in the price.
