 This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Wilton Shoulder Bag

in Walnut Chester Goatskin leather with shiny gold tone hardware.

 

Rare to now find and a member of the highly coveted 'Chester' range, the Wilton is a perfectly sized, tri-compartment, shoulder bag.

Crafted from an incredibly beautiful and robust, grainy goats leather, tanned in the UK and craftsman assembled in Spain, its instantly recognisable by its chunky flip-lock clasp and intense gold hardware.

These Chester bags had huge RRP's, even for 2007, but you can immediately see why, with their high quality finish, and fabulous attention to detail. The lovely tassle zip pull, buckle and plait features and pretty domed rivets resonate with the classic Mulberry of their finest design era.

Details -

The leather is superb. No wear, corners and trim are excellent, all stitching strong and inking in place. 

An exceptionally strong, yet supple hide, there is a gentle, horizontal crease across the back, from storage though this will lift quickly with use.

A small, curved fingernail scuff to the smooth leather of the front flap, in the middle and two light, horizontal scratches to the rear of the flap, (only visible from some angles).

A very small, dark dot on the LH bottom decorative strap, below the last hole and a similar one on the upper side of the tassle, both not particularly noticable, (see photos above)

The hardware is very good for a bag of this age with only minor surface scratches and some extremely light dinks to the chunky zip pull. Friction rubbing between the two plates and a small cluster of scratches to the Postmans Lock plate as shown in the photos above. (There is a reflection of my picture frames on the photo of the underside of the top plate, its not marking!)

Shoulder straps are as-new, and the interior pristine. Divided into three sections, the middle being zip top secured, all lined in a hardy, chocolate, Mulberry tree repeat, silky grossrain.
