This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Bayswater

in Oak Darwin Leather with Glossy Antique Brass lock plates. 

One of the very first Bayswaters made, this incredibly lovely vintage delight comes without internal label, without internal disc and without Made in Label.

Crafted from a wonderfully thick, robust and sturdy hide, she stands up when empty and displays very little actual wear.

A glorious rich patina, she's characterful with fingernail scuffs, a 'dimpled' front RH corner curve, surface scuffs to the top flap where the handle bases have impressed on the hide and a few spots of burnishing, (upper RH side of flap and LH front below handle).

Shoulder straps are slightly softened but not stretched and display slight darkening to the top area where they have been hand held.

Beautiful, old-style glossy lockplates, there is friction rubbing between the undersides and surface scratches to the Postmans Lock but no dulling, tarnish or finish loss.

A little aging to the embossed zip pull and the keys to the padlock in the hanging clochette, the interior Riri zip runs smoothly.

Self lined in clean, lightly ruffled suede with a zipped pocket and two slip pockets.

The main reason for the Well Used rating is, as is so commonly found on vintage pieces, the inking, (edge sealent) has become a little 'sticky' with age and the though inking is all in place, it would benefit from renewal.
