This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Henley

in Indigo Buffalo leather with Antiqued Brass hardware.

A spacious, Bayswater sized Mulberry from an era gone-by, the Henley is a very handsome, tri-compartment shoulder bag crafted from a beautifully glossy and robust Buffalo hide.

Thick, grainy with a fabulous sheen that shrugs off rain with ease, its a semi-structured bag, but not stiff, with the glorious creasiness of the leather just beginning to soften the sides.

Well shaped, strong and super practical, this lovely Henley has been carried extensively but is a testiment to the craftmanship that made Mulberry great.

The leather is clean, colour consistent and vibrant, without fading or wear. A small nick to the surface on the LH side of the middle section, near the zip which could easily be covered by a coloured Colonill cream and some fingernail scuffs/surface scratches as happens with use. These can only be view when you angle the bag as the shiny grained finish camoflagues them incredibly well, (see photo collage above)

The front Postman's Lock Plate has the wonderful older style glossy finish with just light friction rubbing around the turnlock hole. Base feet display scratching with some colour loss to their apex.

The shoulder straps are firm with some ruffling to the inking and a little loss at the handle bases, where they flex. The rear LH handle patch, (that extends down the bag to anchor the handle) displays ruffling and loss of inking, though the other three are all fine.

Handle base inserts have created surface impressions on the top of the bag, as is often seen on these styles.

Corners are very good, with again some inking ruffling and wear to the curves which can also be noted to the side seam of the bag on the upper RH side.

All shown in the photo gallery above, inking can be renewed by Mulberry for a small fee, should the buyer wish.

The interior is fully lined in clean, chocolate Mulberry tree cotton with two leather trimmed slip pockets to the middle zipped compartment and another to the outer section.
