Mulberry Somerset Messenger

in Oak Tumbled Leather with antiqued brass hardware.

A slim and simple, compact messenger with all the lovely Somerset styling, its a design very hard to now find.

Light and easy to use its crafted from Mulberrys fabulously resiliant and robust Tumbled Grain leather in a wonderful rich, caramel oak tone. A thick, characterful hide that just gets better and better with age and use.

Details -

A practical design it features a long chocolate webbed cross body strap, a main compartment with a leather trimmed slip pocket and a useful full depth zipped pocket to the front. The top of the bag seals with a firm popper and its all fully lined in clean, stripy Mulberry signature cotton.

Crafted from a very hardwearing leather which is glossier and has more tonal changes than NVT, its ideal in the rain but still develops a wonderful patina with age and use.

Lots of natural striations in the grain, there are the inevitable surface scuffs, a few impresions to the hide on the front, upper RH side and scuffung to the finish of the base corners.

The antiqued brass harware is fittingly aged and there is a small darkened area on the inner rear top trim from the hardware contacting with the leather, (see photo above).

The webbed strap is in an excellent condition throughout, without rubbing, catches or darkening.

A really lovely, and now vintage piece, that will stand the test of time marvellously!
