Mulberry Geoffrey Briefcase in Black Darwin Leather with Antiqued brass hardware.

A simple, softsided, unisex hand-held briefcase with a useful, full depth slip section to the reverse..... crafted from fabulously thick, glossy and deeply grained Darwin.

Details-

The beautifully robust leather is in a super condition throughout. Substantial but supple there is no wear, just the usual light surface scuffs and striations to the hide.

Corners are excellent, inking and stitching intact, though the two 'poppers' that gusset the sides are a little weak in holding together and have a tendency to pop open if under any strain.

The top handle is firm and clean and feels wonderful in the hand with some very minor inking wear to the loops at each side.

Hardware shows natural ageing to the finish in keeping with the character of the bag.

The ruffled suede interior is clean with two leather trimmed, large slip pockets.

The main point to note is a small circular area on the lower, rear of the bag, near the base seam, where the hide appears slightly flatter in texture*. This is due to a mark inside the rear pocket of the bag, at the bottom, which has affected the suede to an extent that its visible from the outside. There's no weakening or structural effect, just aesthetic, and this has been reflected in the price.
