A rare treat to find a lovely tooled LL continental purse from the era when Mulberry became great,
The leather and tooling is firm, well shaped and crafted from characterful, deeply toned and textured hides which will continue to richen and mellow with age and use.
Gentle patination and light surface indents throughout. Inking, (edge sealant) in all in place without splits or cracks and the antiqued brass hardware very good with some minor aging around the rivets and general marks to the Postmans Lock Plate.
The turnlock end sides show friction scratches but all of her foibles compliment her look and just add to her charm.
The interior is lined in clean, thick cotton twill with a handy wipe clean zip coin section.
The zip runs smoothly but is a little stiff from storage.
