This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Bayswater

in black vegetable tanned printed leather with antiqued brass hardware.

Details -

Crafted from a beautiful hide, gently softened with a very attractively spaced print. No wear, marks or scratches, corners are excellent and its one of those fabulous thick, robust leathers that makes a perfect work-horse of a bag.

Straps are very slightly softened but still well shaped and have a generous drop of 17cm (the older models were easier to wear on the shoulder).

Some crackling to the inking (edge sealant) at the handle bases and to the strap sides and hardware shows scratching, in particular to the turnlock end, base feet and between the lockplates.

The interior is fully lined in clean, black suede showing light use and the cloche contains the Mulberry tree embossed padlock with two mini keys/

The reason for the *rating is due to a slight aroma of woodsmoke. The previous owner has a Rayburn (wood burning Aga) and there is a slight, but present,  sooty smell to the bag. Not cigarette (as the owner is a non-smoker), it actually quite a pleasant aroma that reminds me of Bonfire Night!
