Nicely thick patent, its semi structured so will stand up empty and displays no wear whatosever. No splitting, feathering, cracking or discoloration...its a beautiful, bright, PoP of colour, (the close up photos are the best representation of shade)
As is so often seen on these patent pieces with black, contrast inking, (edge sealant), the very edges of the inking peel, leaving the actual seam inking all intact but a slightly uneven line in places. This inking often strays in construction and leaves small marks on the patent, which can be seen only on extremely close inspection. A tiny, light mark to the upper RH curve of the top flap, one to the base front RH, near the corner and another on the base seam. Extremely well camoflagued by the highly reflective nature of the finish, you'd never see them unless you knew they were there.
Some friction rubbing between the lockplates and end of the turnlock, the Postmans Lock Plate displays hairline scratches, mainly to the upper LH side above the turnlock hole.
Pristine, red suede lined interior with a zipped pocket and two slip sections.
