Carried extensively, this Mulberry is a testiment to the hardwearing nature of Congo. Still stiff and glossy with a fabulously spaced print and that wonderful, heady leather aroma.
A few rain spots to the surface of the leather on the LH front side and lots of surface scuffs and characterful surface marks throughout, see the diagonal one on the RH of the top flap. (All marks are shown in the Photo Gallery below)
Lightening and only very light rubbing to the base corners, the inking (edge sealant) is intact but aged and a little tacky, (not sticky) in places.
Handle bases show inkingloss and have most likely been re-glued at some point). The shoulder straps are nicely firm and well shaped, again displaying wear and inking dryness to the sides.
The Postmans lock plate is very good with only minor friction rubbing around the turnlock hole and to the sides of the turnlock end.
The interior is clean but ruffled, as happens with this finish. To the RH side of the zipped pocket there is a small area of stitching loss, (see Photo Gallery below). This doesn't effect the use of the bag in any way.
Overall, a superb example of proper old-style Mulberry at its finest and a bag that looks so much better in the flesh than a listing of its faults makes it sound!
